WHY I AM RISING UP
I am rising up up for myself and for every female member of my family from the youngest member to the oldest member because we have the right to live in a safe environment.
I am rising up today for women and girls in the global community because they have a right to safe in their respective communities.
I am rising up today because the culture of violence against women and girls cannot go unchallenged.
I am rising up today in hope that every male in my family from the youngest member to the oldest member is willing to create a safe environment for any female that they have contact with. And that they will educate and advocate for their male friends to do the same for the women in their families and community.
I am rising up today because this is not just a "women's issue" this is about our human rights!

I reject the notion of violence against women, I wish more men would.
I have never hit a woman in my life, nor will I ever.
