FROM MY BROWN EYED VIEW 09/05/10

Sheryl WuDunn addresses the issue of empowering females during a TED Global Confrence.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to "Ideas worth spreading," which it makes available through talks posted on its website. Author Sheryl WuDunn spoke at the TED Global conference in July in Oxford, England. (source)

I just viewed this video.  There is information shared by WuDunn that is staggering to my mind. Tens of millions of missing girls it difficult for me to wrap my head around.
Please take time to listen to Sheryl WuDunn as she addresses the TED Global conference.

TED is one of my favorite sites to visit--the topics they feature have a vast range.

We'll know that the human race has evolved when it begins to treat women--mothers, daughters, wives, and sisters--with respect, and with reverence, not just in one enlightened corner of the world, but throughout the world.
