I am sitting here tonight trying to digest an event that has made no sense to me since it happened. A couple of weeks ago there was an attack on a driver. He was beaten up for driving too slow.
This Friday he will be laid to rest as a result of that attack.
He never recovered from the assault. The victim is my 2 year old granddaughter's maternal grandfather.
The person responsible for his death has not been caught-yet. I am hoping and praying that he is found. This is the only way that there will be true closure for the family.
I cannot imagine what goes through the minds of people who go bullistic over some one else's driving habits. I know that there are times when other people can make you feel frustrated while behind the wheel. But to get out and beat someone to the point of death-that's just too much.
The victim had experienced facial injuries years ago. He had steele plates and screws in his face that were not visible to the human eye. The blows caused internal damage that resulted in his death.
My little girl's uncle is 8 years old. I cannot imagine how he feels at this point in time. I know this is painful and beyond his comprehension. I'm old enough to be his grandmother and I cannot wrap my head around it. It was senseless and oh so cruel!
If you are a praying individual, please send out a prayer for our family. They are going to need the Lord's help to make it through this situation. Also, pray for the attacker. He needs help and he also needs to be found. I am not even sure if he knows what the end result of his anger really is.
