Earlier this week MBEV featured a story about a gang rape that occurred in the Congo. An estimated 200 women and four boys ages 1 month to 18 months were the victims of a four day attack.
While this story made my stomach turn from the magnitude of the attack, this is just one of too many stories from around the world. Women are under attack and rape is the weapon being used against them.

Your last posts have been some pretty devastating reads, MsD. I wonder if we are seeing a rise in rape and violence toward women worldwide, or has this degradation remained constant and the reporting/coverage has gotten better in broadcasting the abuse? Or, have both risen? No matter, and no question, the situations are sickening and heartbreaking, and we must do everything in our power as a civilization to put an end to it. Raping women and children?!? I honestly can't remember the last time that I was so depressed and disgusted while reading/watching a blog. This was awful. Those men are absolute pigs, hanging might be too good for them; but I'd settle for that.

The world is need of a spiritual revitalization--perhaps a regeneration. This has been mostly the exclusive domain of the church, but the church as failed.
One woman says rapists rape because they can. I agree. But that's only a part of the story.
One man says that rape is not considered the terrible crime that it is. True. In too many places in the world, the woman is not only the victim of rape, but is held responsible for it occurring.
Another says that he didn't, at the time of the rape, consider the humiliation and pain of the victim.
Unbelievable. How would he feel, if he had been the one raped?
Unless the world find its spiritual bearing, these kind of crimes against women, and against humanity, will continue.
Yes My Sister, there is alot of hate in the world toward women. it seems that Women bear the scorn of all mankinds ills. the mothers of the earth will soon be free, mark my words. Jah don't like ugly.
