THINK BEFORE YOU BUY PINK!

I found it ironic that Komen Foundation would team up with KFC as a corporate sponsor this year.  The Pink Bucket promotion promises to donate $.50 for every one that is purchased.  The goal is to raise $8.5 million for research.

Healthy eating habits is one of the major suggestions to help prevent Breast Cancer.  The calorie count of KFC products don't make it on my list of wise food choices.

I am a Komen Foundation supporter.  While it is noble that KFC wants to raise funds for research-promoting products that do not support good food choices is not the way.  This is one pink product that I will not be purchasing.

Think Before You Buy Pink has a petition on line regarding this particular partnership.  You can visit the site and read the information.  If you agree with the focus of the petition please sign it.

KFC isn't making any sense lately... I knew they were having issues when they created the no-bread chicken sandwich.. they're latest commercial... so I'm not surprised that they have joined the fight against cancer--- oddly enough.

I agree. Show your support for one thing while threatening your health in another way.

Is it KFC's way of legitimizing the high-caloric content of its food?

It makes you wonder if KFC is embracing "pink" to support efforts to find a cure for breast cancer, or to support their bottomline.
