DOCUMENTARY FILM:UNEVEN FAIRWAYS

I love to watch documentary films. I try to view at least one during the weekend.
Today I want to recommend a film that I just finished viewing. The title of the film is "Uneven Fairways". It is about the history of Black golfers. I have to say that it is quite an educational experience. Tiger Woods and every other Black golfer currently on the circuit need to give much respect to the men and women who had to work around the racial barriers to play the game.

Of course you know that I have a free connect for you to view the film. Here is the link to Uneven Fairways. I hope that you take time to check this film out!

I remember watching this earlier this year. It was very well done documentary and covered some fascinating (and ugly) history. I've also heard that the book Uneven Lies, by Peter McDaniel, is worth reading. Thanks for posting this.

Tiger Woods and Black in the same sentence...mmmm..I don't know about that but I'm excited to hear about the story.

Something tells me that Tiger has never seen this documentary, and never will. So many young "black" folks are completely apathetic when it comes to our history. They couldn't care less about the people who bleed and suffered in order to make a better way for their ungrateful asses.

Tiger did appear in the film. He admitted that if the golfers featured in the film hadn't made a way-his dad would of never been able to play. And he wouldn't of been introduced to the game either.

I have to question if that would actually be the case. I have learned over the years that there is always a pioneer somewhere in the ranks. Eventually someone would of made the necessary moves to breakdown the color barrier.

Well, I stand corrected. I guess he's not as "you-know-what" as I thought!

You're right, there are always unsung heroes who come along and do, what others didn't have the strength to do. Thus, making it easier for the rest of us to follow.

AF,
Is it just me-or did it look like it was hurting him to admit that particular reality?
