It is the beginning of a new month. I want to remind you to conduct a self breast examination. Don't put it off or act like you are immune to this disease! You're my sista and I want you to be healthy. Taking care of your self has to be a top priority. Check out this link and you'll see why I am concerned about our health.

After you conclude your examination, please call your family and sista/friends and remind them to do the same. We have to be supportive of each other and help to promote healthy habits. Remind the males in your life too. They are not immune to this disease.
Take time to educate yourself on the latest news regarding Breast Cancer. You can learn more about this disease and treatment by reading The Breast Cancer Chronicles.
If you need support try Sister Inc. This organization has chapters nationwide. They are working within our communities to help in the fight against Breast Cancer. There are women within this organization that know what you're going through because they have been there too.
If you don't know how to conduct a proper breast examination you view this video that gives details on how to conduct a self exam. (link)
If you discover any changes in your breasts please do not ignore it. Contact your doctor immediately. If you do not have health insurance-don't let that stop you. You can contact The Komen Foundation, Sisters Inc. or The American Cancer Society. They will help you to receive the nessary exams.
Early detection is the key to saving lives! I know this is true because my mom is a survivor. She just celebrated sixteen years of being cancer free.
I want you to think Pink Enough to save lives!
