Who Has Not Made A Mistake
Bristol Palin, the sixteen year old daughter of GOP Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant. A revelation that came to light after Governor Palin had to squelch rumours that her infant son was actually her grandson.
The original post that indicated that Palin had covered up her daughter's pregnancy was posted on Daily Kos. That post has since been removed. It read like a story from the pages of a supermarket tabloid.
The fact that Palin's teenage daughter is pregnant now is a secondary issue in my opinion. Bristol is facing a major challenge in her young life. She is about to become a mother and that is going to be a major responsibility.
America leads the industrialized world in teenage pregnancies and births. Bristol Palin is just one among many teen aged girls who have become pregnant early in her life. If her mother was not the GOP nominee for VP, would any national attention be given to her? I doubt it.
The fact that her mother is the VP nominee does not give society the right to attack Bristol. Nor does it reflect on the type of upbringing that has been provided by the Palin's.
I am not for attacking children to get at their parents. The whole notion of making a teenager's pregnancy a campaign issue is moot in my opinion. Bristol is not running for office~her mother is. McCain has stated that he knew about the pregnancy and saw it as a non-issue.
Having given birth three times during my child bearing years, I know what challenges Bristol and every woman faces. She is about to step into womanhood with a responsibility that will span her entire lifetime.
I believe that we all have moments in our lives when we have been exposed for our acts. There is no one who can declare that they have lived a life without errors.
We need to demostrate maturity as a society. I am all for having at it about the issues in the campaign. I am not for attacking a young woman who pregnant because her mother is a politican.

Agreed 100%
I agree with you 100% also, but you have to wonder how this would play if the tables were turned even if Michelle were pregnant let alone one of his daughters.

never was the one who approved of using hypotheticals to give credibility my case. they can't be proven.
but, being in agreement with the post, i can only hope that i would be of the same mind as i think all in here would.
