Praise God From Whom All Of Our Blessings Flow!
It is Inspirational Sunday. And I am thankful to be in the land of living on this day.
Dear God,
On this day I am coming before you to ask for your blessings to be poured down on the people in this nation. There are folks who are fleeing today in fear of the storm which rages off of our shores. Bless them all to find a place of safe dwelling. Watch over them and their loved ones as they watch and wait to see what the end results will be.
Bless the current leadership of this nation to be properly responsive during this time. Move the minds of those who are in the positions to make decisions. Give them the spirit of wisdom, knowledge and courage to do whatever is necessary to support the people who are in need.
Please continue to watch over the Obamas as they travel around the nation. Keep them safe from all manners of harm, seen and unseen. Bless them to continue to go forth in an upright manner. Lift their spirits when the journey wears them low. Help them to see the vision that you have set before them in the dark hours, let your light shine through for them.
Bless the households of this nation and the world as well. Open the doors and the windows of your universal storehouse and provide for the people. Feed those who are hungry. Shelter those who are in need of homes. Lay hands on those who need healing and restoration.
Bless our enemies as well. Keep them at bay and place a hedge around us. You are the one who lays the foundations of peace. There are those who are mourning for their loved ones on this day. Be the comforter that they need at this time. Help them to move though the painful transitions that they must go through.
Bless our children as they return to school for the year. Keep them safe from those who would do evil in the midst. Bless the adults who have the responsibility to provide for their education to be mindful of that responsibility that we have as educators. Bless us to be firm yet compassionate towards children who come from out of households filled with turmoil. Bless us to be respectful of those children who come from backgrounds different than our own.
There are those in our midst who have not known freedom. They have not known what it is like to be a contributor to their respective families and communities. We need a turn around in this condition. Bless us with the way and the tools to work on this situation.
As we enjoy time away from our jobs over this weekend, bless us all to have a positive time with our family and our friends. Bless our going out and our coming back in. Give us reasons to smile and laugh. Help us all to sow seeds of joy and goodness as we go about our way.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
